Members from J-Town Clubhouse, Jackson County & Our House Clubhouse, Oakland County Attend MAC Training Conference

Clubhouses are an amazing concept that invites all aspects of a person’s life to help them on their road to recovery. We empower members on a daily basis to believe in themselves, their goals, desires and dreams. We walk with them side by side through the trials and tribulations of LIFE. It is an honor to see the growth in each individual person and it is the spirit of Clubhouse that guides them to achievements that were once unattainable. Take pride as clubhouse staff, and know that what we do, makes such a difference.  

Recently two of our clubhouses took part in a two day MAC Training in Midland Michigan. The participating Clubhouses were J-Town Clubhouse and Our House Clubhouse. Some of the informational workshops that we went to were: Clubhouse Effectiveness and Outcomes Data, Work Unit Structuring, Using Technology in the work ordered day, Recovery/ Dual Recovery and Co-Occurring Treatment in the Clubhouse, Community Festival Planning and Member Leadership. WOW -- talk about a lot of inspirational ideals encouraging members and staff to go from Good to Great. This is a training that we walked away from with an overwhelming amount of excitement in what we do at Clubhouses. The conference was able to provide the tools needed to reiterate what a clubhouse is all about.
