Clinton-Eaton-Ingham County Consumers Represent New Passages At The “Walk A Mile In My Shoes” Rally
Scott, Rosemary, Kirk, Mary Kay and Katherine from Stoll Road joined Cindy and Tammy from Eureka House and staff persons Linda Stewart, Karen Dudley and Mindy Parsons for an important and fun filled afternoon advocating for individuals with mental illness. The day began with a lunch at McDonalds then the group went to downtown Lansing joining a very large crowd on the lawn of the state capitol. Prior to the rally Karen and Linda coordinated a sign making activity. The weather was perfect and the speeches from consumers from throughout the state were interesting. At the close of the event, Tammy made her way to the podium and gave the rally-goers a nice send off. Many thanks to all who participated to make this a special day.
