On June 5th, Jean Nemenzik, Director of Services and Kathryn Young, Vice President of Program Planning and Development were proud to present the “Liaison Project: Creating Bridges to Natural Supports” at the ACT National Conference in Arlington, VA.

The purpose of the Liaison Program is to build relationships by consistently and persistently constructing bridges to natural supports – one single step at a time. Their presentation demonstrated how to develop a structured network that moves families, friends, and guardians from awareness, to understanding, to commitment. As Kathy and Jean shared the philosophy and operational components of the Liaison Program, ACT practitioners from around the United States, Canada, and England took an active role in the presentation and shared their enthusiasm for this new model that can assist consumers in both strengthening existing natural supports and building new ones.
